New Apple Speculation for 2012!

2012…..

By now we thought we would be living on Mars and have flying cars….Not so much…
So we are not on or Mars or even the Moon and we don’t have flying cars or even a stupid hoverboard. The one thing we do have that has spawned so fast few people could have predicted it was our smart phones. Our smart phones can do more computing than the first computers could while we are on the phone talking to someone and surfing the web. And the iPhone is the biggest innovator in this genre. Whenever it is released it changes the game. Although the iPod is what put Apple back on the map the iPhone is the reason they are still there. Yes the iPad is cool and so are macbooks but the iPhone is the reason Apple’s stock is over 400$ a share. With that being said we shall make some predictions for 2012 of what Apple maybe releasing.

iPad 3
I believe that the new iPad will be released around March. It could be announced in February, is because Steve Jobs’s birthday is February 24th. A February announcement could be a nice memorial to the man who had the vision to bring Apple back from the abyss.

Now that we have a date we need to think about what can be changed to an already great product. First the easy stuff like adding a retina display. This will make the picture of the iPad that much smoother. The retina display just doubles the pixel count on the LCD screen. It creates a sharper image by packing more pixels into tighter spaces. 1,024x768 is the resolutions for the iPad 2 the 3rd could be double that.
How much faster will it be? I assume that Apple will roll out an upgraded a6 chip an upgrade over the A4 chip currently in the iPhone 4 and the A5 chip is in the iPad2 and the iPhone 4s. I would be lead to believe by History that Apple will introduce a new chip will they dare call it the A6 chip? Each chip is a little bit faster but also works on power efficiency.
In addition they will definitely add 1080p recording capabilities for the back camera and an increase to the front camera. I don’t know if it will ever be equivalent to the iPhone camera’s but it will definitely be a big increase from the iPad2. As well as adding 4g support for the iPad even though all the major carriers are lacking anything remotely close to the actually 4g speed which would be 12.5Mb’s per second, Yea that is fast compared to 3G which is about .025Mb’s per second. So if the carriers actually put money back into their networks instead of trying to buy other companies they would have it already.
How much will it cost? I believe they will only release one iPad this year and this iPad 3 will be the higher end model and like the others come in Wifi and 4G. I believe it will cost more than the previous two. It will be fully HD with screen and camera and will have a fast 4G card installed as well as a faster CPU and increased memory. The iPad 2 has 512mb of ram I believe to utilize the fully HD it will be doubled to a GB of ram. This could be held off till the 4 but I believe this is inline with the higher end model.
They will still make the iPad 2 and they will be the lower end iPad

iPod Touch 5
I believe this will be happening sometime soon this year. I believe that if they wanted to make a smaller iPad it would be senseless and hurt the iPod touch market considering they would compete against each other. I could see them adding a larger model to the iPod touch world maybe the 7 inch screen the size of the Dell Streak or the smaller Samsung Galaxy. The new iPod will have a better screen more speed and maybe bigger storage. I don’t think this will be anything major besides making it faster. They are a bitch to repair, so I would love to see the inside changed around a bit because they are also easily cracked. That is why I don’t believe the iPhone will ever get much smaller because they tried it with the Touch 4g and it is a quasi disaster since they crack often and the LCD and Digitizer are only held on by a thin line of glue.

These are all speculations I have made from working on the hardware and knowing tendencies of Apple’s past. They are in no way fact or to be represented as such. This blog is property of SATA COMPUTERS and Google probably to since they own everything.

Coming Soon iPhone 5 speculation!

Spring Cleaning for Laptops & Desktops

Hello Again,

This Week we will cover cleaning out laptops and desktops physically to eliminate dust.
One of the most common problems for computers today is heat. Heat is created by components of a computers as access consumption. This will be true till we have 100% power efficient electronics, until then we will have to do a bit of house keeping.

All we need is a can of compressed air.

Desktops

Now to clean out a desktop you can either spray from outside the panel or inside. Meaning that you can take the side panel out and spray or just spray through the ventilation holes. Obviously the best approach is to take the side panel off. Now for some people that might be the best option either because your desktop could be extremely complicated to open (Yes I can have a trouble sometimes to, These designers can be satanists sometimes). Normally you would just unscrew 2 screws holding the side door in place then slide it to the back and it is off. If that is how you do it great if not it will still help to move some air in there by spraying through the vents.

If you remove the cover the area you want to spend the most time on is the heatsink which is piece of metal sitting on the motherboard. Give this the most attention since this is where your CPU is. Make sure to remove all dust bunnies and remove any dirt from the fans so that they can run smoother and probably quieter as well. Never use any liquid inside the case!!!

Laptops

Now for laptops if you don't want to take it a part(which can be difficult) the best solution is to power it down. Then to spray air into the vent slot. There should be two of them usually one on the bottom and one on the side. Try going back and forth and blowing air in both of them and see which one brings out more dirt. Any air you blow through one should be felt through the other vent. One is to suck air in the other is to let it escape.

I hope this helps

This is something that should be done every 6 months at least and for smokers it should be every 3.

Thanks for reading

feel free to ask any questions

Compressed air is sold at any walmart-k-mart or computer store as well as

New iPhone Speculation

The majority of my posts are and will be actually truth and known facts. My goal is to help educate people about computers and internet security. As well as helping to spread awareness about the internet because one it is fragile(which I will talk about in future posts.) but secondly it can also be dangerous.

My goal with this blog is to help give facts to the users however this post will not be following those guidelines. This post is all about iPhone speculation!

I myself have an iPhone 3gs..... Sadly my contract is up in a month and I still don't feel the need to upgrade. I know I know the iPhone 4 is awesome I fix them I have taken them apart I know... Trust me they are cool.. But they are not capable of doing the one thing they are almost advertised to do is run on a 4g network (that includes the Verizon version)

Ok above are facts below is speculation......

I believe that their will not be a new iPhone version this year for either AT&T or Verizon. I do believe that they will be releasing a white version of the iPhone 4. Below is my evidence.

1. They have not released any new iPhone OS to any developers. This is done in order for app developers to have plenty of time to flood the market new/updated apps to take advantages of any new feature/hardware updates. This is usually done 4-8 months before a new release is scheduled.

2. The number one supplier of iPhones is AT&T and they currently do not have a 4G network in place. As well as Verizon's 4G network does not really meet the (quasi technical non standard definition of 4G{There is no government standard guidelines for 4G network, anyone can say they are 4G in reality}). So why would Apple screw up a good thing. They know this phone will keep selling. And that when they release a new phone they will still sell just as well. So why rush until the network is actually in place giving them time to perfect the phone's antenna problems.
2.1 An AT&T and upgraded Verizon Network could finanly get to 4G speeds most likely sometime in the fall from what I have read. So that would put a good guess at a new iPhone probably around January 2012 a new iPhone 4GS .

3. An argument for a white iPhone, is because the manufacturer I deal with for parts has been selling iPhone 4 white conversion kits since January. These are the real deal. I have them as well as green, pink and red conversion kits. They look sharp.

That's my argument feel free to add any ideas.

Bluetooth & Your Security

One new way open to Hackers is Bluetooth.
For those that don't know Bluetooth is a wireless connection similar to Wi-Fi.

However it can make your computer extremely vulnerable to a person with the right knowledge.
This goes for GPS,Cell Phones and any other gadgets with Bluetooth.

Someone can take control of the device or even still information off of it.

In fact I believe this is most likely how a hacker published Paris Hilton's phone list on her phone.

So turn it off if your not using it that is the safest way to go.

If you can set a password do it and make it a tough one add numbers or a capital letters mixed with lower case.
But in some cases you can not add a password.

But a password still does not guarantee safety.

Having it turned off is the only way to keep the bluetooth portal shut to would-be hackers.

1 in 290 emails are malware

About 1 in 290 e-mails in February were malicious, making the month one of the most prolific periods for the threats, according to Symantec’s February 2011 MessageLabs Intelligence Report.

So think twice before you open an e-mail from someone you don't know.

If you still want to check it out, clear out your spam folder, then mark it as spam. Then find in the spam folder (only one if you cleared it before hand) and then open it.
In the majority of e-mail servers, usually disable html/java script in e-
mails. Which would disable any launch programs from an e-mail. However if you click anything in that e-mail it could take you to a website which you will NOT be protected.

Happy Browsing...

How to Prevent a Hard Drive Crash

Something that we have been seeing a lot more lately is Hard drive crashes. This has always been a pretty common problem. But I feel in the last couple of months it has ramped up. I remember during Windows 98 era most common users were aware of features like disk defragement and Disk Check. Now I feel it is almost a lost art with Windows computers users. Both Disk Check and Disk Defragment run through Windows and can help prevent failures.

Disk Defragment Works by checking hard disk for bad clusters or sectors on the physical hard disk. Bad sectors occur when data is written to the disk over time and the data is spanned out over larger sections of the hard drive decreasing speed and life expectancy.

The average lifespan of a hard drive is 3years...

Always Back up your data Data recovery for a failed hard drive can cost over 1000$

Understanding Malware, Spyware & Viruses

Spyware & Viruses are programs that are designed to disrupt a computer system. Both have similar goals but for different reasons. Both are considered Malware because they are malicious in nature. Both can be specifically targeted or just picked up at random.

Spyware is more associated with scams and ID theft. The goal of spyware is to scam you to trick you to pay for software that has been installed on your computer with out your knowledge. This is done by usually tricking you to click on a link or pop up that states you have an infection and it must be cleaned. Once you click on the malicious pop up, you unknowingly give the program permission to install malicious software on your machine. Spyware can block out internet access and render your machine useless if it becomes heavily infected.

Viruses on the other hand in the past have been more malicious in nature. If you remember during the late 90's and early 2000's the CIH virus which ran wild for almost 2 years. Also if you can remember the rumors of computers melting or blowing up because of a virus. This is largely untrue for the average computer user. Mostly virus these days are trojans that try to recover stored passwords for e-mail and bank accounts. However just recently a computer virus was placed in a computer running a Nuclear reactor in Iran and caused wide spread damage by running the machine at an extreme rate while showing old video tape surveillance of the reactor running normally. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-11388018
